Privacy Policy — Media Diet

This policy applies to Media Diet ("the App"), a photo and video shrinking utility developed by Yunjin Games ("the Developer").
1. In one line
Your photos and videos never leave your device. All processing happens on the phone itself. The Developer collects nothing about you and operates no server for this App.
2. How the App handles your photos and videos
- The App reads only the files you pick in the Android photo picker. It cannot see anything you did not pick.
- All shrinking and metadata removal happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Results are written as new files to
Pictures/MediaDietorMovies/MediaDietin your gallery. - Originals are never deleted or altered automatically. Deleting an original happens only if you ask for it and confirm it, and only for files that were processed successfully.
- Cleaning up originals: the App has a separate, optional screen that helps you find and delete the original files you have already shrunk, so the space is actually freed. The App asks for photo access only when you open this screen — never before, and never anywhere else — and uses it only to find your original photos on the device, show them to you next to the shrunk result so you can check them, and delete the ones you confirm. Nothing found this way is uploaded or leaves your device.
- Temporary working files are deleted when the batch ends, and any leftovers are cleaned up the next time the App starts.
3. Location, capture time and device information
Keeping this information out of new files is one of the App's features, not removing it from something that already exists. When "remove personal information" is on, the App simply does not write GPS location, capture time or camera make/model into the new (shrunk) file it creates.
The result screen's privacy report is about that new file, not about the original — it tells you whether the App can confirm the new file carries no location, device or capture-time information. The App reads this information only to build that report and, on the "clean up originals" screen, to help you tell the original and the result apart; it is not stored anywhere by the App and it is not transmitted.
4. What the Developer does not collect
There is no account and no sign-in. There is no analytics or tracking added by the Developer. The App does not collect your name, e-mail, phone number, contacts or location. The Developer cannot see your photos or videos.
5. Advertising
The App shows advertisements through Google AdMob (banner and occasional full-screen ads).
To serve and measure ads, Google receives the advertising ID, IP address (from which an approximate location is inferred), how you use the App (launches, taps, ads seen) and diagnostic information. Google processes this directly; it does not reach the Developer's servers, and the Developer does not know who you are.
In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the App shows a consent form before loading personalised ads, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform.
You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation at any time — Settings → Google → Ads. Turning personalisation off does not remove ads; it only makes them less relevant.

There are no in-app purchases.
6. Network use
Advertising is the only reason the App uses the internet. Shrinking photos and videos works exactly the same with no connection.
7. Permissions
- Photos and media, main flow (picking, shrinking, sharing): the App does not request broad photo access here. It uses the Android photo picker, which grants access only to the files you select.
- Photos and media, only inside the optional "clean up originals" screen: if you open this screen, the App separately asks for photo access so it can locate your original photos, show them to you for comparison and delete the ones you choose — on Android 14 and above you can choose to allow only selected photos; on Android 8–12 the App asks for general storage access instead, for the same purpose. This is never requested in the main flow described above.
- Storage (Android 9 and below only): needed to write results into your gallery on older versions of Android.
- Notifications (Android 13 and above): used only to show progress while a batch runs. If you decline, processing still works; you just do not get the notification.
8. What is stored on your device
The App stores your preferences (default compression level, whether personal information is removed, photo output format, default video resolution, whether the share sheet opens when a batch finishes) and a short summary of your most recent batch.
For each photo it shrinks, the App also keeps a small record on your device — the original's size, capture time and an identifier, plus where the result was saved — so that later, if you open "clean up originals", it can find the matching original for you. This record never leaves your device, and it is deleted automatically as soon as you delete that original through the App.
Uninstalling the App removes all of it, including these records. The result files stay in your gallery — they are ordinary files and are not removed when the App is uninstalled.
9. Android backup
Android's system backup may copy the App's stored preferences to your own Google Drive so that they return when you reinstall or change device. That backup belongs to you, not to the Developer, and the Developer cannot access it. You can turn it off in Settings → Google → Backup.
10. Children
The App contains advertisements, and tapping an advertisement may open another app or a web page. Advertisements are served by Google AdMob and are not chosen by the Developer.
The App has no chat, no profile and no way to publish anything. Nothing you enter is shown to anyone else.
11. Changes
If the App ever starts collecting something not described here, this page and the Data Safety section on Google Play will be updated before that version is released.

본 방침은 윤진게임즈("개발자")가 개발한 사진·동영상 용량 줄이기 앱 Media Diet("앱")에 적용됩니다.
1. 한 줄로
사진과 동영상은 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다. 모든 처리는 휴대폰 안에서 이루어집니다. 개발자는 이용자에 대해 아무것도 수집하지 않으며, 이 앱을 위한 서버를 운영하지 않습니다.
2. 사진과 동영상을 다루는 방식
- 앱은 안드로이드 사진 선택 도구에서 이용자가 직접 고른 파일만 읽습니다. 고르지 않은 사진은 앱이 볼 수 없습니다.
- 용량 줄이기와 정보 제거는 전부 기기 안에서 이루어집니다. 어디로도 올리지 않습니다.
- 결과는 갤러리의
Pictures/MediaDiet또는Movies/MediaDiet폴더에 새 파일로 저장됩니다. - 원본은 자동으로 지우거나 바꾸지 않습니다. 원본 삭제는 이용자가 직접 요청하고 확인했을 때만, 그것도 처리에 성공한 파일에 대해서만 일어납니다.
- 원본 정리: 앱에는 이미 다이어트한 원본을 찾아 지울 수 있는 별도의 선택 화면이 있습니다 — 이걸 써야 실제로 용량이 줄어듭니다. 앱은 이 화면을 열 때만 사진 접근 권한을 요청합니다 — 그 전에도, 다른 어디에서도 묻지 않습니다. 이 권한은 기기 안의 원본을 찾아 다이어트 결과와 나란히 보여주고, 이용자가 확인한 것만 지우는 데만 씁니다. 이렇게 찾은 것은 어디로도 올리지 않고 기기 밖으로 나가지 않습니다.
- 처리 도중 만든 임시 파일은 작업이 끝나면 지우고, 남은 것이 있으면 다음 실행 때 정리합니다.
3. 위치·촬영 시간·기기 정보
이미 있던 것을 지우는 것이 아니라, 새 파일에 처음부터 남기지 않는 것이 이 앱의 기능입니다. "개인정보 제거"를 켜면, 앱이 만드는 새(다이어트한) 파일에 위치(GPS)·촬영 시간·카메라 제조사와 모델을 쓰지 않을 뿐입니다.
결과 화면의 개인정보 리포트도 이 새 파일을 기준으로 말합니다 — 원본에 무엇이 있었는지가 아니라, 새 파일에 위치·기기·촬영 시간 정보가 없다는 것을 앱이 확인했는지를 알려 드립니다. 앱은 이 리포트를 만들고, "원본 정리" 화면에서 원본과 결과를 구분해 보여주기 위해서만 이 정보를 읽으며, 따로 저장하거나 전송하지 않습니다.
4. 수집하지 않는 정보
계정도 로그인도 없습니다. 개발자가 붙인 분석 도구나 추적은 없습니다. 이름·이메일·전화번호·연락처·위치를 수집하지 않습니다. 개발자는 이용자의 사진과 동영상을 볼 수 없습니다.
5. 광고
이 앱은 Google AdMob을 통해 광고를 표시합니다(배너와 간헐적인 전체 화면 광고).
광고를 게재하고 성과를 측정하기 위해 Google은 광고 ID, IP 주소(여기서 대략적인 위치가 추정됩니다), 앱을 어떻게 쓰는지(실행·탭·본 광고), 진단 정보를 받습니다. 이 정보는 Google이 직접 처리하며 개발자의 서버로는 오지 않습니다. 개발자는 이용자가 누구인지 알지 못합니다.
유럽경제지역·영국·스위스에서는 맞춤 광고를 불러오기 전에 동의 창을 표시합니다. 이 창은 Google User Messaging Platform이 제공합니다.
광고 ID는 언제든 초기화할 수 있고 맞춤 광고를 끌 수 있습니다 — 설정 → Google → 광고. 맞춤 설정을 꺼도 광고가 사라지지는 않고, 덜 관련된 광고가 나올 뿐입니다.

앱 내 결제는 없습니다.
6. 네트워크 사용
앱이 인터넷을 쓰는 이유는 광고 하나뿐입니다. 사진과 동영상을 줄이는 일은 연결이 없어도 똑같이 동작합니다.
7. 권한
- 사진·미디어, 기본 흐름(고르기·줄이기·공유하기): 이 흐름에서는 사진 전체에 대한 접근 권한을 요청하지 않습니다. 안드로이드 사진 선택 도구를 쓰며, 이 도구는 이용자가 고른 파일에만 접근을 허용합니다.
- 사진·미디어, "원본 정리" 화면에서만: 이 화면을 열면 원본을 찾아 지울 수 있도록 별도로 사진 접근 권한을 요청합니다 — 안드로이드 14 이상에서는 "선택한 사진만 허용"을 고를 수 있고, 안드로이드 8~12에서는 같은 목적으로 저장소 접근을 요청합니다. 위 기본 흐름에서는 이 권한을 요청하지 않습니다.
- 저장(안드로이드 9 이하에서만): 옛 버전의 안드로이드에서 결과를 갤러리에 저장하기 위해 필요합니다.
- 알림(안드로이드 13 이상): 처리 진행 상황을 보여주기 위한 것입니다. 거부하셔도 처리는 그대로 되며, 알림만 뜨지 않습니다.
8. 기기에 저장되는 것
앱은 설정값(기본 압축 수준, 개인정보 제거 기본값, 사진 출력 형식, 동영상 기본 해상도, 완료 후 공유 화면을 열지 여부)과 가장 최근 작업의 짧은 요약을 기기 안에만 저장합니다.
다이어트한 사진마다, 나중에 "원본 정리"를 열었을 때 짝이 되는 원본을 찾을 수 있도록 원본의 크기·촬영 시간·식별자와 결과가 저장된 위치를 기기 안에만 짧게 기록해 둡니다. 이 기록은 기기 밖으로 나가지 않고, 앱에서 그 원본을 지우면 함께 지워집니다.
앱을 삭제하면 이 기록을 포함해 전부 지워집니다. 결과 파일은 갤러리에 그대로 남습니다 — 보통의 파일이므로 앱을 지워도 사라지지 않습니다.
9. 안드로이드 백업
안드로이드가 시스템 자동 백업 기능으로 앱의 설정값을 이용자 본인의 구글 드라이브에 복사할 수 있습니다. 앱을 다시 설치하거나 기기를 바꿔도 설정이 돌아오게 하기 위한 것입니다. 이 백업은 개발자가 아니라 이용자의 것이며, 개발자는 접근할 수 없습니다. 설정 → Google → 백업에서 끌 수 있습니다.
10. 아동
앱에는 광고가 있고, 광고를 누르면 다른 앱이나 웹페이지가 열릴 수 있습니다. 광고는 Google AdMob이 내보내는 것이며 개발자가 고르지 않습니다.
앱에는 대화 기능도, 프로필도, 무언가를 공개하는 기능도 없습니다. 이용자가 입력한 것이 다른 사람에게 보이는 곳은 없습니다.
11. 변경
여기에 적히지 않은 것을 앱이 수집하게 된다면, 그 버전이 배포되기 전에 이 페이지와 구글 플레이의 데이터 세이프티 항목을 먼저 고치겠습니다.
